Rift-World Vehicles

The machines Riftwalkers coax back into service to cross Volaris and reach the wreck above.

The Launch Bay

Set deep within the broken hull of the Inferno, the Launch Bay is one of the few intact spaces still brimming with purpose. Once a staging ground for planetary survey craft, Riftwalkers have re-routed its power and repurposed it into a nexus of exploration and departure. Rows of vehicles line the well-used floor plating, their silhouettes lit by navigation lights and warning strobes. Here, the choice of transport shapes the journey, and often decides who returns to tell it.

Geo Track Rovers

Heavy, treaded machines built for ground expeditions across Volaris and its rocky soil, vast plains, and thick forested ridges. They are bulky, reliable, and scarred with use, their hulls often dusted with bioluminescent spores carried back from prior missions.

Wraith Jump Ships

Sleek craft that seat five Riftwalkers, built for the mid-length run through space or from the orbital Inferno down to a planet’s surface. They are highly maneuverable, armed with plasma cannons and wrapped in a powerful shield. Their black exteriors and spectral afterburn glow are what earned them their ominous name.

Personal Shuttle Craft

Single-seat vessels quick enough to pierce Volaris’s atmosphere and skim into orbit. Pilots take them out to scout the moons and nebula around Volaris, or to search the surface of the planet itself. Like the jump ships, they can leave orbit and dock with the Inferno’s aft section high above.
